Anti-lockdown protesters demonstrated in front of the Capitol building in St. Paul, demanding state's reopening, despite a ban on social gatherings and lockdown restrictions aimed at stopping the coronavirus spread, Saturday. People were seen holding banners, decrying the lockdown, and what they deemed as an attack on their freedom. Scott Jensen, Minnesota senator addressed the protesters, «You can not control the pandemic if you don't have the trust of the people, so you better spend some time building trust.» Earlier, Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz announced the easing of the lockdown restrictions to come after May 18, with small social gatherings of a maximum of 10 people also expected to be permitted.
