Various Palestinian political factions organised a protest in Gaza on Tuesday, to show their anger with the recently brokered peace-deal between Israel and both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The protest in front of the Palestinian Legislative Council headquarters in Gaza, and several demonstrators carried signs reading, «normalisation is a betrayal.» Placards including Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and hang rope, UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan crossed out appeared alongside other anti-Trump and Netanyahu images. A Gaza official in the Mujahideen group, Nael Abu Odeh, said that, «Today's message is that we reject all forms of normalisation and reject what the Bahraini regime is doing today, as it [normalisation] forms a new stab in the back, and against all the sacrifices of the Palestinian people.» The Israel-Bahrain treaty is set to establish diplomatic ties between the two countries following a previous peace deal signed between Israel and the UAE earlier this month. The agreement has triggered a severe backlash in parts of the Arab world including in the state of Palestine.
