A restaurant in Sao Paulo has found a way to continue working during the country's coronavirus pandemic after restaurants began closing — by taking their grills outside. As the establishment is closed for customers during the quarantine, the Churrascaria Nativas restaurant lined up its barbecue pits in the location's carpark on Sunday, and hung its slabs of meat for all to see in traditional «gaucho» style, reducing contact and increasing distance for its customers. According to manager Nathan Eduardo, the process takes several hours and begins early in the morning. «Our meat starts being prepared at 2.30 a.m. and our people prepare the meat at 2 a.m., prepare the ground fire, meat around the fire cause takes a long time to prepare and goes to the fire at 3 a.m. and will be ready around 11,» he said. Customers lining up for the offer were pleased about the new arrangement and having somewhere safe to get their beloved fare. «We decided to come cause it's easy and safe. Not much contact and it's a different dish,» said Paula, a customer. Brazil's coronavirus outbreak has been steadily worsening as the illness wanes throughout Europe, with close to 515,000 cases, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
